Mzn505 Sony Net MD First off, the is one of Sony's first NetMD units. At the time it started to be produced, it was one of the baseline models, although not at the bottom. After using it for over a year (ordered it from Sony), I am still very pleased with its performance. Some of it's features include PC connectivity via a USB port on the unit, allowing up to 32x speed transfers of music from PC>>MD using the included cable and software. It also has an optical / line in jack which allows for recording from just about everything that has an output jack. It record without the use of a computer, for example from a stereo, but for digital music files, the computer software is the way to go. The battery life is excellent, and if you use rechargeables, you can plug the unit into the wall with the included AC adapter, insert your rechargeable AA, and press 'stop', and it will charge the battery. All in all, I would recommend this unit to anyone thinking about trying MiniDisc, or for those already acquainted who want to try out NetMD technology. |
