| Škoda Auto's new concept car – the Škoda Joyster - was revealed to the media at the Paris International Motor Show. Skoda's bright yellow Joyster concept shares some of its design elements with the distinctive, recently launched Roomster compact MPV. The Joyster is a three-door car with compact exterior dimensions, yet surprisingly generous interior space. It is also a new combination of compact body design and a wide range of communication technologies and comfort equipment. The stylish Joyster features a large aeroplane-style wraparound windscreen with blacked-out A-pillars and a bold chrome grille, similar to that on the Roomster supermini-MPV. Inside, the newcomer is equipped with a docking station for a laptop, Internet connectivity, changeable seat covers and removable storage pockets on the chair backs. The car could be powered by two tested diesel engines: the 1.9-litres 105 hp and the powerful 2.0-litres 140 hp. Moreover, the petrol unit could be a 4 cylinders FSI. All engines already much appreciated in Wolkswagen, Audi and Seat models. The latest Joyster design study materializes ideas of new forms and functions of a compact car for Škoda's future customers and outlines the future development of familiar design elements from Škoda Auto.
