| Samsung’s YP-T9 has just received FCC approval. At just 0.43-inches thick, this digital media player boasts 15fps video playback at 208 x 176, 3D games, Bluetooth support, and an incredible 30 hour battery life. Supported formats include MP3, WMA, OGG, and MPEG-4.
The Samsung YP-T9 supports MP3, WMA and OGG audio formats, and in great Samsung tradition, we expect it to be drag-and-drop. It will play videos on its 46mm (1.8-inch) screen in SVI format, although ASF, AVI, MPEG-4, RMVB and WMV files can be transcoded with included software. There are some simple Flash games as well. Battery life is rated at 30 hours of audio playback time and a decent 6 hours for video playback.
The Samsung YP-T9 looks good in pictures, but it's even hotter once you get your hands on it. It's smaller than an iPod Nano (3.2x1.5x0.3 inch) and yet it boasts a noticeably larger, 1.8-inch screen. Like the YP-T7, the YP-T9 vaguely resembles a cell phone, though we prefer the T9's slimmer profile and shiny black case. What's more, the player manages to look good and not sacrifice usability (ahem, did someone say Razr?).
