|  Nokia introduced the slimmer Nokia N76, a new clamshell that brings the Nseries experience to a sleeker body. The Nokia N76 brings a wide range of multimedia experiences to consumers, enabling them to create, consume and connect, using music, videos, images and the internet.
The display is a 2.4 inch QVGA (240 x 320 pixels) TFT capable of displaying up to 16 million colours, The secondary display on the front cover of the device is a 1.36 inch colour display (160 x 128 pixels) TFT with up to 262,144 colours. An ambient light detector is used to optimise the internal display brightness and conserve power.
The N76 comes with 20MB storage on board which can be augmented with a hot swappable microSD slot which takes storage up to 1500 (AAC) music tracks, nearly 4500 photos, or 50 minutes of QVGA (15fps) video on the maximum 2GB microSD card.
Battery times are quoted as 120 minutes talk time on 3G. A little longer if you are using the phone on a 2G GSM network. The dual-mode N76 supports WCDMA2100/EGSM850/900/1800/1900 MHz or EDGE only GSM850/900/1800/1900 MHz.
The N76 digital still camera is a 2.0 megapixel (1600 x 1200 pixels) CMOS camera with zoom and dedicated quick cover keys. It has a flash and 20x digital zoom. The digital zoom on the QVGA video camera is up to 4x.
Music fans will appreciate the dedicated quick cover keys on the Nokia N76, which allow for quick and easy control of the device's music features from the outside of the folded device. Digital music player: supports MP3/AAC/eAAC/eAAC+/WMA with playlists and equalizer with dedicated music keys.
Windows Media DRM (WMDRM) protected music will play if it is on the microSD card. The Stereo FM radio works in the band 87.5 to 108 MHz and there is an industry standard 3.5 mm plug for your headphones.
