|  Kurumin Linux is the most popular Linux distribution in Brazil, with Portugese being the default language install. Based on Knoppix/Debian and Kanotix, it has advanced hardware detection (thanks to Knoppix) and an easy to use Control Panel which allows one click install of many popular programs. It also includes the popular Synaptic Package manager. This Linux distribution runs entirely from a bootable CD. Data on the CD is uncompressed on the fly, allowing them to fit about 2 GB worth of system and programs on one CD, including a complete X server, KDE, and packages like OpenOffice.
