|  The Helio Drift is a compact and lightweight slider handset with a comfortable grip and a stylish user interface. It features a 2-megapixel camera, a microSD card slot, a media player for music and video, EV-DO support, and GPS capabilities. The Drift also comes with cool Web features like MySpace Mobile integration, Google Maps for Mobile, and Buddy Beacon, a friend-location service.
The Helio Drift is a slender slider phone produced by Samsung and made exclusively for Helio members. The Drift supports Helio GPS services that feature Google Maps for mobile. This service allows you to use a GPS-enabled version of Google Maps for Mobile to find your current location or a nearby restaurant or coffeehouse. Helio members also get real-time traffic reports, detailed step-by-step directions displayed on the map, and integrated search results.
The Helio Drift is a smart slider-phone with a whole gamut of cool features including; EV-DO support, and GPS capabilities. One also comes across the very nifty feature Buddy Beacon" which is a location-based system for locating and mapping a preselected list of friends. Measuring 3.8x1.8x0.7 inches and weighing 3.53 ounces, the Drift is compact and lightweight and also includes a a microSD card slot. Other features found on the dual-band (CDMA 800/1900; EV-DO).
The Drift comes with a 2-megapixel camera with an array of settings, including image resolution (1600x200, 1280x960, 800x600, 640x480, 320x240, 240x240), quality (fine, normal), white balance (auto, daylight, cloudy, incandescent, and fluorescent), lighting (normal, spotlight), color effects, photo frames, a self timer, and a flash. There are also a few settings for the video camera, including resolution (320x240, 176x144), rate of frames per second (14fps, 7fps), white balance, lighting adjustment, a mute control, and color effects. You can also adjust shutter sound, block calls when in camera mode, and choose the location of the saved media. The Drift comes with 128MB memory or you can use a microSD card, though a card doesn't come with the phone. We were very impressed with the quality of the photos.
