|  Gateway debuts the Gateway NX570 Series notebook PC, which features an all-new design that boasts a fusion of high-quality materials and performance technologies that contribute to the notebook’s sturdy design, distinctive look and feel and exceptional performance.
The new Gateway NX570 notebook can take on everything from productivity applications for work and school to digital media hobbies such as music downloading and digital photo editing. The system features a 6-in-1 media card reader for easily accessing the popular flash memory cards used in consumer electronics devices. The notebook can be connected directly to a digital camera, digital video camera and computer peripherals through its four USB 2.0 ports and IEEE 1394 port. Enjoying music is easy with the notebook's front-facing headset jack.
The Gateway NX570 provides multiple ways to access and store digital files. It comes with the option for an integrated multi-format double-layer DVD burner or a CD-RW/DVD-ROM combo drive. Ensuring customers have the capacity they need, the Gateway NX570 supports SATA hard drives ranging from 40GB to 160GB, as well as high-performance SATA 7200RPM hard drives ranging from 80GB to 100GB
The Gateway NX570 design is matched with high-end technology and an exceptional assortment of features and options. The notebook uses Intel® Core™ 2 Duo and Intel Core Duo processors for advanced performance. In addition, the NX570 includes leading graphics capabilities via dedicated ATI Mobility™ Radeon® x1400 graphics with 128MB of dedicated video memory or integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 supporting up to 128MB of shared system memory. Both graphics solutions support Microsoft DirectX 9.0, making the PC ready for Microsoft® Windows® Vista™.
All models come standard with Microsoft Windows XP® Media Center Edition 2005. Microsoft Windows XP Professional Edition is available as an option. The new notebook measures up to 1.40 inches thin and its weight starts at 6.32 pounds.
