The new 2007 Chrysler Pacifica provides an enhanced driving experience with a new 4.0-liter SOHC V-6 engine, the most powerful naturally aspirated V-6 engine in the Chrysler lineup. It is mated to a new six-speed transmission. The 2007 Chrysler Pacifica is the first Chrysler Group vehicle to offer the 4.0-liter V-6 engine and six-speed automatic transmission.
The new engine utilizes a long stroke for the improved low rpm torque, which provides quick and impressive engine response around town and offers the power consumers expect from a world-class V-6 engine. The 4.0-liter V-6 engine produces 255 hp @ 6000 rpm and 265 lb. ft. of torque @ 4200 rpm, which is 15 more lb. ft. of torque at peak power rpm, and as much as 35 lb. ft. more torque throughout the power curve than the previous 3.5-liter V-6 engine.
The Pacifica is available in three models -- base, Touring and Limited. Base and Touring models are available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive; the Limited is AWD only. The base model comes with two-row, five-passenger seating; cloth upholstery; a CD player; full power accessories; and keyless entry. The Touring adds 17-inch alloy wheels; three-row six-passenger seating (with second-row captain's chairs); automatic climate control; and a 10-way power driver seat. Limited models build upon the Touring with a monochromatic exterior, 19-inch wheels, heated leather seats, a power moonroof and a power liftgate. Entertainment options include an upgraded 385-watt Infinity audio system, Sirius Satellite Radio and a rear-seat DVD entertainment system. An innovative DVD-based navigation system is offered with the screen mounted in the instrument cluster for easy viewing by the driver.
