|  The Chrysler Aspen is a revised Dodge Durango that takes the gawky exterior and functional interior of that capable SUV and brings them several notchese upscale. The interior is more luxurious than those of Chrysler cars, while the exterior is more refined. The Hemi power, reliability, and big-truck capability remain built-in, making the Aspen an ideal vehicle for wealthy boat or trailer owners.
The Chrysler Aspen dashboard gains plenty of woodlike trim. Upscale touches include an available navigation system and available heated seats in the first two rows. Standard cloth upholstery can be upgraded to two-tone leather or a leather and suede combination. The Aspen seats seven occupants in three rows, although an available third-row bench seat bumps capacity to eight. Middle-row seats can be ordered with two captain's chairs or a three-seat bench, both of which recline up to 11 degrees. They also fold flat, the latter in a 40/20/40 split. The third row is split 60/40. Folding both rows provides the maximum 102.4 cubic feet of cargo volume — a bit less than the Ford Expedition and Chevy Tahoe, which both have around 110 cubic feet.
The 2007 Chrysler Aspen is powered by a 4.7-liter V8 or an optional 5.7-liter HEMI V8 with a five-speed automatic transmission. Standard equipment for the Aspen Limited with E Package includes 18-inch aluminum wheels, Electronic Stability Program, side-curtain air bags, second-row 40/20/40 folding seat, two-passenger third-row seat, power driver seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel with remote audio controls, auto headlights, fog lights, LED interior lighting, roof rails, body-side molding, and heated mirrors. The Aspen Limited with J Package features 20-inch chromed wheels, three-passenger 60/40 third-row seat, reclining second-row seats, running boards, power driver and front-passenger seats, leather seats, power liftgate, ParkSense rear back-up system, SIRIUS Satellite Radio, dual-zone automatic temperature control, adjustable pedals, laminated front and rear door glass, and premium audio system with subwoofer and 6-disc CD changer.
